As of 31 March 2023, the total duck laying flock inventory was estimated at 7.76 million birds. This was 14.9 percent higher compared with the previous year’s same period count of 6.75 million birds.
Central Luzon recorded the highest duck laying flock population of 3.69 million birds during the period. This was followed by Western Visayas and Cagayan Valley with corresponding inventories of 0.60 million birds and 0.53 million birds. These three regions shared 62.2 percent to the country’s total duck laying flock population as of 31 March 2023. (Figure 2)
