Price Situationer of Selected Agricultural Commodities First Phase of June 2024
Increments in the average retail prices of a kilogram of well milled rice, ranging from PhP 0.11 to PhP 1.50, were observed in six trading centers during the second phase of June 2023 (15 to 17 June 2023) compared with their respective price levels in the first phase of June 2023 (01 to 05 June 2023). On the other hand, its average retail prices per kilogram went down by PhP 0.17 in Tuguegarao City and by PhP 1.61 in Iloilo City during the period. (Table 1)
Five trading centers posted decreases in the average retail prices of a kilogram of dressed chicken, ranging from PhP 2.00 to PhP 10.00 during the second phase of June 2023. On the contrary, its average retail price per kilogram was higher by PhP 5.00 in Iloilo City during the period. (Table 2)
The average retail prices of a kilogram of galunggong dropped by PhP 10.00 to PhP 40.00 in seven trading centers during the second phase of June 2023. However, its average retail prices per kilogram increased by PhP 5.00 to PhP 30.00 in five trading centers during the period. (Table 3)
Average retail prices of vegetables generally increased in the majority of the trading centers during the period. (Table 4)
The average retail prices of a kilogram of red onion climbed by PhP 0.13 to PhP 25.00 in six trading centers during the second phase of June 2023. Meanwhile, its average retail prices per kilogram declined by PhP 0.27 in Cagayan de Oro City, by PhP 2.50 in Tuguegarao City, and by PhP 15.00 in Calapan City during the period. (Table 5)
Seven trading centers registered deceleration in the average retail prices of a kilogram of carabao mango ranging from PhP 0.55 to PhP 30.00 during the second phase of June 2023. However, its average retail prices per kilogram rose by PhP 2.50 in Digos City and by PhP 15.00 in Batangas City during the period. (Table 6)
Varied movements were reported in the average retail prices of a kilogram of refined sugar in six trading centers during the second phase of June 2023. (Table 7)
