The Seasonally Adjusted Value of Production in Agriculture and Fisheries, First Quarter 2025 (at Constant 2018 Prices)

Value of Agriculture and Fisheries Production

The seasonally adjusted value of production in agriculture and fisheries posted a quarter-on-quarter growth of 2.1 percent in the first quarter of 2025. This was due to the increases in the value of crops, livestock, poultry, and fisheries production. (Table 2.1)

Value of Crop Production

In the first quarter of 2025, crops posted a quarter-on-quarter growth of 1.8 percent. Sugarcane, banana, and coconut were the top contributors to the quarter-on-quarter growth. (Table 2.1)

Value of Livestock Production

The deseasonalized value of livestock production recorded a quarter-on-quarter growth of 0.7 percent. Hog was the major contributor to the quarter-on-quarter increase. (Table 2.1)

Value of Poultry Production

The quarter-on-quarter seasonally adjusted value of poultry production recorded a 2.9 percent increase in the first quarter of 2025. Chicken and chicken eggs were the top contributors to the increase. (Table 2.1)

Value of Fisheries Production

For fisheries, the quarter-on-quarter seasonally adjusted value of production grew by 3.7 percent in the first quarter of 2025. The major contributors to the expansion were tiger prawn, seaweed, and tilapia. (Table 2.1)
