The population of Eastern Samar was 405,114 persons as of August 1, 2007, based on the 2007 Census of Population (POPCEN 2007). This figure was higher by 29,292 persons over the population count of 375,822 persons in 2000. The recent population count for the province translated to an annual growth rate of 1.04 percent for the period 2000 to 2007, higher than the 0.79 percent annual growth rate registered for the period 1995 to 2000.

The number of households reached 84,110, which was 11,078 households more than the 2000 figure. The average household size in 2007 was 4.8 persons, which was lower than the average household size of 5.1 persons in 2000.

This registered an increase of 70,421 persons over the total population of 429,076 persons in 2000. The population of Biliran was 150,031 persons as of August 1, 2007, based on the 2007 Census of Population (POPCEN 2007). This figure was higher by 9,757 persons over the population count of 140,274 persons in 2000. The recent population count for the province translated to an annual growth rate of 0.93 percent for the period 2000 to 2007, lower than the 1.28 percent annual growth rate registered for the period 1995 to 2000.

The number of households reached 32,148, which was 4,239 households more than the 2000 figure. The average household size in 2007 was 4.7 persons, which was slightly lower than the average household size of 5.0 persons in 2000.

Population of Negros Occidental Grew at 1.44 Percent Annually (Results from the 2007 Census of Population)

Negros Occidental (excluding Bacolod City) posted a total population of 2,370,269 persons, as of August 1, 2007. This figure represents an increase of 233,622 persons over the total population of 2,136,647 persons in 2000. The annual population growth rate recorded for the period 2000 to 2007 was 1.44 percent, higher by 0.36 percentage point from the 1.08 percent annual population growth rate during the period 1995 to 2000.

Misamis Oriental (excluding Cagayan de Oro City) posted a total population of 748,885 persons as of August 1, 2007. This registered an increase of 84,547 persons over the total population of 664,338 persons in 2000. The 2007 figure translated to an annual population growth rate of 1.67 percent for the period 2000 to 2007.

The number of households rose by 20,847 from 132,042 in 2000 to 152,889 in 2007. The average household size in 2007 was 4.9 persons, a slight decrease from the 2000 average household size of 5.0 persons.
