Population growth rate slightly decreased to 1.26 percent

The total population of Camiguin, as of August 1, 2007 was 81,293 persons. This means an increase of 7,061 persons over the total population of 74,232 persons in 2000. The annual population growth rate was recorded at 1.26 percent for the period 2000 to 2007, slightly lower by 0.62 percentage point from the 1.88 percent annual population growth rate for the period 1995 to 2000.

The number of households of the province rose to 17,028 households in 2007, registering an increase of 2,202 households over the 2000 figure. The average household size was 4.8 persons in 2007, slightly lower than the average household size of 5.0 persons in 2000.
