Among industries, Building of complete construction or parts thereof; civil engineering recorded the biggest number of establishments at 1,083 establishments or 74.4% percent of the total. Building installation ranked far second with 303 establishments or 20.8 percent and Building completion ranked third with 55 establishments or 3.8 percent. On the other hand, Site preparation had the lowest number with only 6 establishments or 0.4 percent of the total.

The 2009 Annual Survey of Philippine Business and Industry (ASPBI) covered a total of 908 establishments engaged in Electricity, Gas and Water Supply activities. Among industries, Collection, Purification and Distribution of Water recorded the highest number of establishments at 663 or 73.0 percent of the total.

The sector was dominated by establishments engaged in Stone quarrying, clay and sand pits with 35 or 35.0 percent of the total. This was followed by Other non-metallic mining and quarrying with 18 establishments or 18.0 percent and Gold ore mining with 17 establishments or 17.0 percent of the total. Figure 1 displays the percentage distribution of Mining and Quarrying establishments by industry group in 2009.

About 1,280 Agriculture, Hunting and Forestry establishments in business operation nationwide were covered in the 2009 Annual Survey of Philippine and Business and Industry. Among industry groups, Hog farming comprised the highest number of establishments at 345 or 27.0 percent of the total.

The 2009 Annual Survey of Philippine Business and Industry (ASPBI) covered 6,100 establishments engaged in Other Community, Social and Personal Service Activities. Establishments involved in Other service activities comprised the biggest number with 3,770 or 61.8 percent of the total count for the sector.
