2009 Annual Survey of Philippine Business and Industry (ASPBI) - Hotels and Restaurants for Establishments with Total Employment of 20 and Over : Preliminary Results

Based on the preliminary results of the 2009 Annual Survey of Philippine Business and Industry (ASPBI) conducted nationwide, with 2009 as the reference year, the Philippines had a total of 3,609 establishments with total employment (TE) of 20 and over engaged in hotels and restaurants.

The preliminary results of the 2009 Annual Survey of Philippine Business and Industry conducted nationwide covered a total of 4,885 establishments with total employment (TE) of 20 and over engaged in Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles, motorcycles and personal and household goods.

Electronics Industry: 2008

The electronics industry has been considered as the driver of growth for the manufacturing sector in recent years as its share to the total value of output was recorded as high as 28.0 percent in 2001 and 20.0 percent in 2008. In terms of employment, the industry share to total manufacturing was 20.9 percent in 2008.
