Based on the 2018 Family Income and Expenditure Survey (FIES), the country’s annual per capita consumption of well-milled rice averaged 32.60 kilograms in 2018. By region, Region IV-A (CALABARZON) had the highest per capita consumption at 53.80 kilograms. National Capital Region (NCR) came next at 46.25 kilograms. On the other hand, lesser per capita consumptions of well-milled rice were observed in Region V (Bicol Region) and Region VIII (Eastern Visayas) at 8.67 kilograms and 11.77 kilograms, respectively.
