Functional Difficulty in the Philippines: For Household Population Five Years Old and Over (2020 Census of Population and Housing)

Persons with functional difficulty posted at 8.7 percent 1. Of the 97.60 million household population five years old and over, nearly nine in every 100 persons (8.7%) had at least one domain of functional difficulty, that is, any of the six functional domains of seeing, hearing, walking or climbing steps, remembering or concentrating, self-caring (washing all over or dressing) or communicating. (Figure 1 and Table 1)

Birth Registration in the Philippine Population (2020 Census of Population and Housing)

Proportion of persons with registered births in the Philippines increases to 96.6 percent: 1. The 2020 Census of Population and Housing (2020 CPH) revealed that a total of 104,938,965 persons had their births registered with the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs). This is equivalent to 96.6 percent of the 108,667,043 household population in 2020.

Urban Population of the Philippines (2020 Census of Population and Housing)

In 2020, 58.93 million or 54.0 percent of the total 109.03 million population of the Philippines lived in urban barangays. This represents an increase of 7.20 million persons from the 51.73 million urban residents in 2015. The rural population or those who lived in barangays classified as rural in 2020 comprised the remaining 50.10 million persons or 46.0 percent of the total population. (Tables 1 and A)
