The total population of Quezon City, as of August 1, 2007, was 2,679,450 persons. This represents an increase of 505,619 persons (23.3 percent) over the total population of 2,173,831 persons in 2000. This increase translated to an annual population growth rate (PGR) of 2.92 percent for the period 2000 to 2007, higher than the PGR of 1.92 percent recorded during the period 1995 to 2000.

Positive Population Growth Rate For Manila (Results from the 2007 Census Of Population)

The total population of Manila, as of August 1, 2007, was 1,660,714 persons. This represents an increase of 79,632 persons over the total population of 1,581,082 persons in 2000. This increase translated to an annual population growth rate (PGR) of 0.68 percent for the period 2000 to 2007, higher than the PGR of -0.97 percent recorded during the period 1995 to 2000.

Caloocan City's Population Increased By About 200,000 Persons (Results from the 2007 Census Of Population)

The total population of Caloocan City, as of August 1, 2007, was 1,381,610 persons. This represents an increase of 204,006 persons over the total population of 1,177,604 persons in 2000. This increase translated to an annual population growth rate (PGR) of 2.23 percent for the period 2000 to 2007, lower than the PGR of 3.06 percent recorded during the period 1995 to 2000

Total Population Of Abra Grew By 1.35 Percent Annually (Results from the 2007 Census Of Population)

The population of Abra was 230,953 persons as of August 1, 2007, based on the 2007 Census of Population (POPCEN 2007). This figure was higher by 21,462 persons over the population count of 209,491 persons in 2000. The recent population count for the province translated to an annual growth rate of 1.35 percent for the period 2000 to 2007, lower than the 1.44 percent annual growth rate registered for the period 1995 to 2000.

Population of Lanao Del Sur Grew Annually by 4.98 Percent (Results from the 2007 Census of Population)

Total population increased to over one million

The province of Lanao del Sur had a total population of 1,138,544 persons as of August 1, 2007. This count is higher by 42.3 percent compared with the census count of 800,162 persons as of May 1, 2000. The increase in population count for the period 2000 to 2007 translated to an annual population growth rate of 4.98 percent.

Likewise, the household population of Lanao del Sur increased by 42.5 percent from 798,669 persons in 2000 to 1,137,987 persons in 2007. The number of households, meanwhile, grew by 42.0 percent from 117,435 households in 2000 to 166,785 households in 2007. The average household size in 2007 was 6.8 persons. The same average household size was recorded in 2000.
