Zamboanga Sibugay, which was created on February 22, 2001 under Republic Act No. 8973, is composed of municipalities taken from Zamboanga del Sur. The population of this province was 546,186 persons as of August 1, 2007, based on the 2007 Census of Population (POPCEN 2007). This figure was higher by 48,947 persons over the population count of 497,239 persons in 2000. The recent population count of the province resulted to an annual growth rate of 1.30 percent for the period 2000 to 2007.

Olongapo City Showed Further Increase In Housing Unit Made Of Strong Materials (Results from the 2007 Census Of Population)

The total population of Olongapo City as of August 1, 2007 was 227,270 persons, an increase of 33,010 persons over its total population of 194,260 persons in 2000. The total population in 2007 represented an annual population growth rate (PGR) of 2.19 percent for the period 2000 to 2007, or an increase of 0.51 percentage point from the PGR registered for the period 1995 to 2000. The annual population growth rate of the city for the period 1995 to 2000 was 1.68 percent.

The total population of Angeles City as of August 1, 2007 was 317,398 persons, an increase of 53,427 persons over its total population of 263,971 persons in 2000. This 2007 figure translates to an annual population growth rate of 2.57 percent for the period 2000 to 2007, lower by 0.04 percentage point than the 2.61 percent annual population growth rate recorded from 1995 to 2000.
