2010 Population of Guimaras is More Than Twice Its Size in 1960 (Results from the 2010 Census of Population and Housing)

In 2010, 45.4 percent of the occupied housing units in the province had outer walls made of bamboo/sawali/cogon/nipa, down from 51.2 percent in 2000. The proportion of occupied housing units with outer walls made of concrete/brick/stone increased from 15.9 percent in 2000 to 24.5 percent in 2010. Similarly, those with outer walls made of half concrete/brick/stone and half wood increased from 18.7 percent in 2000 to 20.8 percent in 2010. Meanwhile, 76.0 percent of the occupied housing units in 2010 had roofs made of galvanized iron/aluminum, higher than the proportion of 59.0 percent recorded in 2000. Occupied housing units with roofs made of cogon/nipa/anahaw decreased from 34.1 percent in 2000 to 20.8 percent in 2010.

Based on the 2010 Census of Population and Housing (CPH), the province of Tawi-Tawi posted a total population of 366,550 persons as of May 1, 2010. This is larger by 44,233 persons compared to its total population of 322,317 persons counted in the 2000 CPH. The increase in the population count from 2000 to 2010 translated to an average annual population growth rate (PGR) of 1.29 percent. This is lower than the 3.51 percent annual PGR of the province between the census years 1990 and 2000.

Sulu's Population was Recorded at 718 Thousand (Results from the 2010 Census of Population and Housing)

Based on the 2010 Census of Population and Housing (CPH), the province of Sulu posted a total population of 718,290 persons as of May 1, 2010. This is larger by 98,622 persons compared to its total population of 619,668 persons counted in the 2000 CPH. The increase in the population count from 2000 to 2010 translated to an average annual population growth rate (PGR) of 1.49 percent. This is lower than the 2.80 percent annual PGR of the province between the census years 1990 and 2000.

Maguindanao's Population was Disclosed at 945 Thousand (Results from the 2010 Census of Population and Housing)

Based on the 2010 Census of Population and Housing (CPH), the province of Maguindanao, excluding Cotabato City, posted a total population of 944,718 persons as of May 1, 2010. This is larger by 143,616 persons compared to its total population of 801,102 persons counted in the 2000 CPH. The increase in the population count from 2000 to 2010 translated to an average annual population growth rate (PGR) of 1.66 percent. This is lower than the 2.42 percent annual PGR of the province between the census years 1990 and 2000.

Recorded Population of 933 Thousand for Lanao del Sur (Results from the 2010 Census of Population and Housing)

Based on the 2010 Census of Population and Housing (2010 CPH), the province of Lanao del Sur posted a total population of 933,260 persons as of May 1, 2010. This is larger by 133,098 persons compared to its total population of 800,162 persons counted in the 2000 CPH. The increase in the population count from 2000 to 2010 translated to an average annual population growth rate (PGR) of 1.55 percent. This is lower than the 2.92 percent annual PGR of the province between the census years 1990 and 2000.
