Based on the 2010 Census of Population and Housing (2010 CPH), the province of Basilan posted a total population of 293,322 persons as of May 1, 2010. This is larger by 33,526 persons compared to its total population of 259,796 persons counted in the 2000 CPH. The increase in the population count from 2000 to 2010 translated to an average annual population growth rate (PGR) of 1.22 percent. This is lower than the 3.78 percent annual PGR of the province between the census years 1990 and 2000.

Based on the 2010 Census of Population and Housing (CPH), the province of Biliran posted a total population of 161,760 persons as of May 1, 2010. This is larger by 21,486 persons compared to its total population of 140,274 persons counted in the 2000 CPH. The increase in the population count from 2000 to 2010 translated to an average annual population growth rate (PGR) of 1.43 percent. This is lower the 1.74 percent annual PGR of the province between the census years 1990 and 2000

Based on the 2010 Census of Population and Housing (CPH), the province of Northern Samar posted a total population of 589,013 persons as of May 1, 2010. This is larger by 88,374 persons compared to its total population of 500,639 persons counted in the 2000 CPH. The increase in the population count from 2000 to 2010 translated to an average annual population growth rate (PGR) of 1.64 percent. This is lower the 2.69 percent annual PGR of the province between the census years 1990 and 2000.

Population Increase of 39 Thousand was Recorded in Southern Leyte (Results from the 2010 Census of Population and Housing)

Based on the 2010 Census of Population and Housing (CPH), the province of Southern Leyte posted a total population of 399,137 persons as of May 1, 2010. This is larger by 38,977 persons compared to its total population of 360,160 persons counted in the 2000 CPH. The increase in the population count from 2000 to 2010 translated to an average annual population growth rate (PGR) of 1.03 percent. This is lower the 1.13 percent annual PGR of the province between the census years 1990 and 2000.
