Based on the 2010 Census of Population and Housing (CPH), Cagayan de Oro City, a highly urbanized city in the province of Misamis Oriental, posted a total population of 602,088 persons as of May 1, 2010. This is larger by 140,211 persons compared to its total population of 461,877 persons counted in the 2000 CPH. The increase in the population count from 2000 to 2010 translated to an average annual population growth rate (PGR) of 2.69 percent. This is lower than the 3.12 percent annual PGR of the city between the census years 1990 and 2000.

Population of Misamis Oriental Increased by 150 Thousand (Results from the 2010 Census of Population and Housing)

Based on the 2010 Census of Population and Housing (CPH), the province of Misamis Oriental, excluding Cagayan de Oro City, posted a total population of 813,856 persons as of May 1, 2010. This is larger by 149,518 persons compared to its total population of 664,338 persons counted in the 2000 CPH. The increase in the population count from 2000 to 2010 translated to an average annual population growth rate (PGR) of 2.05 percent. This is lower than the 2.37 percent annual PGR of the province between the census years 1990 and 2000.

This is larger by 80,919 persons compared to its total population of 486,723 persons counted in the 2000 CPH. Based on the 2010 Census of Population and Housing (CPH), Iligan City, a highly urbanized city in the province of Lanao del Norte, posted a total population of 322,821 persons as of May 1, 2010. This is larger by 37,760 persons compared to its total population of 285,061 persons counted in the 2000 CPH. The increase in the population count from 2000 to 2010 translated to an average annual population growth rate (PGR) of 1.25 percent. This is lower than the 2.32 percent annual PGR of the city between the census years 1990 and 2000.

Population of Lanao del Norte Would Double in 28 Years (Results from the 2010 Census of Population and Housing)

Based on the 2010 Census of Population and Housing (CPH), the province of Lanao del Norte, excluding Iligan City, posted a total population of 607,917 persons as of May 1, 2010. This is larger by 134,855 persons compared to its total population of 473,062 persons counted in the 2000 CPH. The increase in the population count from 2000 to 2010 translated to an average annual population growth rate (PGR) of 2.54 percent. This is higher than the 2.01 percent annual PGR of the province between the census years 1990 and 2000
