Population of Mountain Province Showed an Increase of 14 Thousand (Results from the 2010 Census of Population and Housing)

Based on the 2010 Census of Population and Housing (CPH), the province of Mountain Province posted a total population of 154,187 persons as of May 1, 2010, larger by 13,748 persons compared to its total population of 140,439 persons counted in the 2000 CPH. The increase in the population count from 2000 to 2010 translated to an average annual population growth rate (PGR) of 0.94 percent. This is lower than the 1.88 percent annual PGR of the province between the census years 1990 and 2000.

Apayao's Population is Higher by 16 Thousand from Previous Census (Results from the 2010 Census of Population and Housing)

Based on the 2010 Census of Population and Housing (CPH), the province of Apayao posted a total population of 112,636 persons as of May 1, 2010, larger by 15,507 persons compared to its total population of 97,129 persons counted in the 2000 CPH. The increase in the population count from 2000 to 2010 translated to an average annual population growth rate (PGR) of 1.49 percent. This is lower than the 2.66 percent annual PGR of the province between the census years 1990 and 2000.

Benguet Population Increased by 74 Thousand (Results from the 2010 Census of Population and Housing)

Based on the 2010 Census of Population and Housing (CPH), the province of Benguet, excluding Baguio City, posted a total population of 403,944 persons as of May 1, 2010. This is larger by 73,815 persons compared to its total population of 330,129 persons counted in the 2000 CPH. The increase in the population count from 2000 to 2010 translated to an average annual population growth rate (PGR) of 2.04 percent. This is higher than the 0.87 percent annual PGR of the province between the census years 1990 and 2000.

If the average annual PGR recorded at 2.04 percent during the period 2000 to 2010 continues, the population of Benguet would double in 34 years.

Population of 319 Thousand was Recorded in Baguio City (Results from the 2010 Census of Population and Housing)

Based on the 2010 Census of Population and Housing (CPH), Baguio City, a highly urbanized city in the province of Benguet, posted a total population of 318,676 persons as of May 1, 2010. This is larger by 66,290 persons compared to its total population of 252,386 persons counted in the 2000 CPH. The increase in the population count from 2000 to 2010 translated to an average annual population growth rate (PGR) of 2.36 percent. This is lower than the 3.26 percent annual PGR of the city between the census years 1990 and 2000.

Ifugao's Population was Recorded at 191 Thousand (Results from the 2010 Census of Population and Housing)

Based on the 2010 Census of Population and Housing (CPH), the province of Ifugao posted a total population of 191,078 persons as of May 1, 2010, larger by 29,455 persons compared to its total population of 161,623 persons counted in the 2000 CPH. The increase in the population count from 2000 to 2010 translated to an average annual population growth rate (PGR) of 1.69 percent. This is higher than the 0.93 percent annual PGR of the province between the census years 1990 and 2000.
