The country’s total external trade in goods increased to USD 106.87 billion in the first semester of 2022, from USD 89.90 billion in the same semester of 2021. This indicates an annual increase of 18.9 percent in the first semester of 2022. In the second semester of 2021, the total trade rose by 20.6 percent, while in the first semester of 2021, the total trade grew at an annual rate of 27.0 percent.

The country’s total agricultural trade in the second quarter of 2022, which amounted to USD 6.95 billion, grew at an annual rate of 25.0 percent. In the first quarter of 2022, the total agricultural trade recorded an annual increment of 30.9 percent, while in the second quarter of 2021, the total agricultural trade rose by 33.7 percent.

The country’s total agricultural trade in the first quarter of 2022, which amounted to USD 6.45 billion, grew at an annual rate of 30.8 percent. In the fourth quarter of 2021, total trade recorded an annual increment of 25.5 percent, while in the first quarter of 2021, total agricultural trade rose by 5.8 percent.

The country’s total external trade in goods grew to USD 192.53 billion in 2021, from USD 155.03 billion in 2020. This indicates an annual increase of 24.2 percent in 2021. In 2020, total trade declined by -15.1 percent, while in 2019, total trade grew at annual rate of 0.2 percent. Of the total external trade, 61.2 percent were imported goods and the rest were exported goods.
