Majority of Establishments were in Collection, Purification and Distribution of Water

There were an estimated total number of 1,009 establishments in business operations during the year 2001 in the electricity, gas and water sector according to the results of the 2002 Annual Survey of Philippine Business and Industry (ASPBI).

2005 Annual Survey of Philippine Business and Industry (ASPBI) - Electricity, Gas and Water Sector : Preliminary Results

The 2005 Annual Survey of Philippine Business and Industry (ASPBI) covered a total of 972 electricity, gas and water establishments. More than half of these establishments (54.6%) had an average total employment (ATE) of less than 20 while 45.4 percent had an ATE of 20 and more.

2008 Annual Survey of Philippine Business and Industry (ASPBI) - Electricity, Gas and Water Sector (Total Employment of 20 and Over) : Preliminary Results

The 2008 Annual Survey of Philippine Business and Industry covered 427 electricity, gas and water establishments with total employment of 20 andover. The number of establishments by industry are as follows: Water collection, purification and distribution through a system of mains with 242 establishments (56.7%). Electricity generation, collection and distribution with 181 establishments (42.4%). Steam and hot water supply plants with 4 establishments (0.9%)

2009 Annual Survey of Philippine Business and Industry (ASPBI) - Electricity, Gas and Water Supply for All Establishments : Final Results

The 2009 Annual Survey of Philippine Business and Industry (ASPBI) covered a total of 908 establishments engaged in Electricity, Gas and Water Supply activities. Among industries, Collection, Purification and Distribution of Water recorded the highest number of establishments at 663 or 73.0 percent of the total.
