Employment rate was placed at 94.2 percent in March 2022, it was the highest since April 2020 but lower than the registered employment rate in January 2020 at 94.7 percent. In March 2021, employment rate was reported at 92.9 percent.
The number of persons who were in the labor force was at 47.70 million of the estimated 75.30 million population 15 years old and over in 2021.
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) announces the conduct of the Press Conference on the March 2022 Labor Force Survey (Preliminary) Results on 06 May 2022 (Friday) at 9:00 AM. The country’s unemployment rate in February 2022 remained the same as the 6.4 percent reported a month ago. In terms of magnitude, this is translated to 3.13 million unemployed individuals 15 years old and over. This is lower by 1.06 million unemployed Filipinos compared to February 2021.
