Labor Turnover Statistics (in Metro Manila enterprises) Fourth Quarter 2015

The Labor Turnover Survey (LTS) is a quarterly sample survey of enterprises conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) since the third quarter of 2002. The survey aims to capture “job creations” and “job displacements” in business enterprises based in Metro Manila by collecting quarterly data on accessions and separations of workers.

A total of 921 enterprises served as respondents to the fourth quarter round of the 2015 Labor Turnover Survey. The sample enterprises were drawn from the 2013 NCR List of Enterprises. The retrieval rate for this quarter was placed at 99.0%.

This LABSTAT Updates is the last in a three-part series that presents the highlights of the 2013/2014 Integrated Survey on Labor and Employment (ISLE) module entitled Occupational Shortages and Surpluses. The ISLE is a nationwide sample survey covering 8,399 establishments with 20 or more workers. The reference period covered the months from January 2013 to June 2014. This issue presents the occupations considered by the employers as easy to fill and the length of recruitment period.

The metadata and statistical tables of the survey are posted at the PSA website.

Structure of Labor Cost in the Philippines (Third part of a series)

The 2013 Labor Cost Survey (LCS) is one of the modules of the 2013/2014 Integrated Survey on Labor and Employment (ISLE), formerly the BLES Integrated Survey (BITS). The ISLE is a nationwide establishment survey conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) covering 8,399 agricultural and non-agricultural establishments employing at least 20 workers.
