Monthly Integrated Survey of Selected Industries : September 2005

Value of Production Index (VaPI) for the manufacturing industry on a year-on-year basis registered an increase of 9.7 percent in September 2005 from a double-digit growth of (revised) 17.9 percent in August 2005, according to the preliminary results of the Monthly Integrated Survey of Selected Industries (MISSI). Sectors that significantly attributed to the increase were furniture and fixtures, petroleum products, leather products, chemical products, miscellaneous manufactures and rubber products. Value of Production Index (VaPI) moves up further

Value of Production Index (VaPI) of the manufacturing industry exhibited a 16.1 percent mark-up in January 2003 compared with year ago figure, according to the preliminary results of the Monthly Integrated Survey of Selected Industries (MISSI). Value of Production Index (VaPI) for the manufacturing industry continued to pick up at 13.9 percent in October 2005 compared with a year-ago figure, according to the preliminary results of the Monthly Integrated Survey of Selected Industries (MISSI). Petroleum products contributed significant increment of 53.2 percent, while double-digit increases were also noted in the following sectors: chemical products, furniture and fixtures, miscellaneous manufactures, electrical machinery, food manufacturing and textiles.. On a monthly basis, VaPI in October 2005 went up by 6.7 percent with the following major sectors attributing to the growth: petroleum products, machinery excluding electrical, non-metallic mineral products and electrical machinery.. Refer to Tables 1-A and 1.

Monthly Integrated Survey of Selected Industries : November 2005

Value of Production Index (VaPI) for the manufacturing industry on a year-on-year basis reflected an increase of 12.9 percent in November 2005 compared with the year-ago figure, according to the preliminary results of the Monthly Integrated Survey of Selected Industries (MISSI). Petroleum products registered the biggest increase among the sectors with an increment of 50.4 percent. Other sectors which registered double-digit growth were the following: chemical products, furniture and fixtures, non-metallic mineral products, tobacco, fabricated metal products, rubber products and textiles.
