PSGC 3rd Quarter Updates: MIMAROPA Region, City of Ozamiz, and Barangay Hañib

For the 3rd quarter of 2016, the following are the updates on the Philippine Standard Geographic Code (PSGC) as compiled by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA):
Pursuant to Republic Act No. 10879 also known as the MIMAROPA Act which took effect on 17 July 2016, the Southwestern Tagalog Region was established to be known as MIMAROPA Region (170000000).

No Philippine Standard Geographic Code (PSGC) Updates for the First Quarter of 2016

There were no changes in the geographical-political units of the country during the first quarter of 2016 (1 January 2016 - 31 March 2016), hence, there were no PSGC updates during the quarter. Consequently, the total number of regions, provinces, cities, municipalities, and barangays during the quarter remained the same with the PSGC updates as of 31 December 2015 as posted on the PSA website.
