A freshman Electronics and Communications Engineering student from the Ateneo de Zamboanga University bested 16 other regional champions to give Zamboanga Peninsula its second national championship trophy in the Philippine Statistics Quiz (PSQ). The 20th PSQ was held last December 6, 2011 at the Assembly Hall of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas in Malate, Manila.
The 17 regional champions who will compete in the 20th PSQ National Finals have been determined after the regional championships held simultaneously last November 17. The National Finals will be held on December 6 at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas in Manila.
The 17 national finalists, who will vie for this year's Philippine Statistic's Quiz (PSQ) National Finals, have already been determined after the regional championship simultaneously held last November 23, 2010 nationwide.
Regional championships for the 2009 Philippine Statistics Quiz (18th PSQ) were simultaneously held on 12 November all over the country spearheaded by the PSQ Regional Steering Committees with the support of local officials, government agencies and private institutions. First-time freshmen representing various colleges and universities, both public and private, and who are Filipino citizens participated in the contest.
A freshman Medical Laboratory Science student from the Saint Louis University (SLU)-Baguio City won first place in the 2008 Philippine Statistics Quiz (PSQ) National Finals held at the Ramon Magsaysay Hall, Social Security System (SSS), East Avenue, Quezon City on December 4, 2008. This is the second time that the regional champion representing the Cordillera Administrative Region bagged the PSQ national finals trophy.
