Family Planning Survey (FPS)

The Family Planning Survey (FPS) is a nationwide survey of women of reproductive ages. It is conducted annually by the National Statistics Office (NSO) starting in 1995. It aims to collect and compile information for the assessment of contraceptive use in the country.

The data presented will provide a current picture about contraceptive use in the country. It also offers facts and figures that are useful in influencing policy makers and planners on the support needed to effectively implement the family planning program. The portion on high-risk fertility behavior also offers a reliable gauge in the design of child and maternal health program.
