As of 01 June 2018, the total rice stock inventory was estimated at 2,360.98 thousand metric tons (Figure 1). This was a drop of 8.24 percent from previous year's level of 2,572.94 thousand metric tons and 18.85 percent below the previous month's stocks level of 2,909.46 thousand metric tons.
The total rice stocks inventory as of 01 July 2018 was 1,990.82 thousand metric tons (Figure 1). This was lower by 15.21 percent from last year's level of 2,347.90 thousand metric tons and 15.68 percent below the previous month's rice stocks inventory level of 2,360.98 thousand metric tons.
The total rice stocks inventory as of 01 January 2018 was 2,289.65 thousand metric tons (Figure 1). This was lower by 17.20 percent from the 2,765.12 thousand metric tons inventory level in January 2017. Similarly, it declined by 19.64 percent from the previous month’s level of 2,849.37 thousand metric tons.
As of 01 February 2018, the total rice stocks inventory was 1,795.78 thousand metric tons (Figure 1). It decreased by 21.80 percent compared to the February 2017 inventory level of 2,296.32 thousand metric tons. Similarly, a decline of 21.57 percent was observed from the previous month's level of 2,289.65 thousand metric tons.
As of 01 December 2017, the total rice stocks inventory was 2,849.37 thousand metric tons as shown in Figure 1. It was 14.66 percent lower in comparison to the December 2016 inventory level of 3,338.98 thousand metric tons and 3.70 percent lower than the previous month inventory level of 2,958.73 thousand metric tons.
