PSA Clears the Conduct of Surveys on Backyard and Commercial Livestock and Poultry

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) cleared the conduct of the 2019 Backyard Livestock and Poultry Survey (BLPS) and the 2019 Commercial Livestock and Poultry Survey (CLPS).

The 2019 BLPS generates primary data on inventory and disposition of animals from backyard farms or small hold raisers. On the other hand, the 2019 CLPS generates primary data on inventory and disposition of animals by type from commercial farms. The purpose of the two surveys is to determine and measure the production of the backyard and commercial livestock and poultry industry in the country.

PSA Renews the Clearance of 4 Surveys on Agricultural Crops

To provide essential information on the country’s major crops, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) granted clearance to the conduct of four surveys on palay, corn and other crops to be undertaken nationwide. These surveys aim to generate statistics that will serve as benchmark information to farmers, researchers, policy-makers and other stakeholders in their planning, monitoring, program formulation and intervention for the sector.

The surveys cleared for conduct are the following:

1. 2019 Palay and Corn Production Survey (PCPS)

PSA Grants Clearance for the Conduct of the Business Expectations Survey (BES)

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) granted clearance for the conduct of the Business Expectations Survey (BES) by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) on 01 July 2019. The survey will generate indicators of overall business sentiment and prospects/outlook covering about 1,500 establishments/enterprises which are part of the industry, construction, services, and wholesale and retail trade sectors.

The BES is conducted quarterly and aims to:

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) granted clearance for the conduct of the Baseline Survey on the Convergence on the Value Chain Enhancement for Rural Growth and Empowerment (Project ConVERGE) by the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) in partnership with Strategic Research and Development Center, Inc. (STRAND-Asia) on 02 July 2019.

PSA Approves the Conduct of the Survey on the Awareness of Households on the Philippine Competition Act (PCA) and the Philippine Competition Commission (PCC)

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) approved the conduct of the Survey on the Awareness of Households on the Philippine Competition Act (PCA) and the Philippine Competition Commission (PCC) on 25 June 2019.
