In relation to the Philippines Statistics Authority’s (PSA) previous advisory dated 19 May 2021 regarding the acceptance of the Philippine Identification (PhilID) card as official proof of identity for transactions with government and private entities, please be advised that this advisory is being issued to provide additional information on the authentication and use of the card.

SM Supermalls Now Accepting PhilID in Mall Transactions

As one of the leading partners for the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) program, SM Supermalls is starting to accept the Philippine Identification (PhilID) card in its SM Business Center services such as foreign currency exchange, remittance services, and credit card transactions. SM Supermalls also enjoined its retail partner affiliates and tenants to accept the card as sufficient proof of identity.

PSA continues institutional registration for convenient, safer access of more Filipinos to PhilSys

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) proceeds with the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) registration of more Filipinos as the agency intends to conduct more institutional registrations in coordination with government agencies, homeowners’ associations, exclusive residences, non-government organizations, and private companies.

The institutional registration strategy aims to accommodate the formal sector by ensuring that the working population from both government and private institutions have a safe and convenient PhilSys registration.

Call for Applicants for Contract of Service Workers (COSWs) for PhilSys Registry Office-Use Case Development and Management Service (PRO-UCDMS-PhilID Advocacy Unit)

Applicants are required to submit the following: Scanned copy of signed APPLICATION LETTER stating the specific position title with salary grade (SG) level and specific place of assignment as posted; The application letter must be addressed to: Dennis S. Mapa, Ph.D., Undersecretary, National Statistician and Civil Registrar General
