Definition :
The following are citizens of the Philippines:
Those who are citizens of the Philippines at the time of adoption of 1987 Constitution
Those whose fathers or mothes are citizens of the Philippines
Those born on January 17, 1973, of Filipino mothers, who elect Philippine citizenship upon reaching the age of majority
Those who are naturalized in accordance with law.

Note: In the case of children of irregular situation, they will be counted as Filipino Citizens if their father or mother is a Filipino citizen. Irregular situation is when parent/s do not have legal residency of employment status in the host country.
