Ms. Bangniwan and the members of the PMS team posed with the Lolas from Haven for the Elderly.

01 March 2024 – TANAY, RIZAL. Women residents of the Haven for the Elderly expressed their delight to the official and personnel of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Central Office, during the outreach activity held on 01 March 2024 at Haven for the Elderly, Brgy. Sampaloc, Tanay, Rizal.

Dubbed as ‘Bisita kay Lola,’ the initiative was led by the PSA-Planning and Management Service (PMS) as part of the opening salvo of the agency’s commemoration of the National Women’s Month.

Officer-in-Charge (OIC), Center Head, Ms. Marizal Bangniwan warmly welcomed the group and thanked them for choosing Haven for the Elderly. She also highlighted the importance of the elderly sector in the society, and commended PSA for their support.

OIC-DNS Manaog was welcomed with stories by a resident of the Haven for the Elderly.

On the other hand, OIC-Deputy National Statistician (DNS) Clemente S. Manaog, MNSA, addressed the Lolas and shared that the team was glad to be spending time with them. He also guaranteed that this would not be the last time the agency would be visiting the institution.

Medical ointments were provided to the elders. They were also gifted with flowers and serenaded by OIC-DNS Manaog. The PMS personnel entertained them with a dance number, through the tune of ‘Juana, Ikaw ay Ginto,’ winner of Philippine Commission on Women’s songwriting contest in 2021.

Aside from the outreach’s objective, OIC-DNS Manaog and Ms. Bangniwan discussed matters concerning the birth registration of the elders. He assured the center that the PSA would be in touch and assist them.
