CREATING THE TECHNICAL COMMITTEE ON PRICE STATISTICS

WHEREAS, the National Statistical Coordination Board was created as the central coordinating body on statistical matters as per Executive Order No. 121;

WHEREAS, reliable price statistics are important tools for planning and implementing government policies on the economy;

WHEREAS, technical committees are mechanisms for coordination, providing the proper forum for the exchange of views and expertise of specialists in their respective fields in the production of price statistics;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Technical Committee on Price Statistics be created to advise the Board in the rationalization and integration of the production of price statistics in all aspects, including collection, processing and analysis;

BE IT RESOLVED FURTHER, that the NSCB Secretary General be authorized to issue the necessary guidelines, rules and procedures governing the Committee’s activities, reports and recommendations.
