APPROVING AND ENDORSING TO THE DEPARTMENT OF BUDGET AND MANAGEMENT
THE 1991 BUDGET OF THE PHILIPPINE STATISTICAL SYSTEM

WHEREAS, the National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB) is the highest policy-making body on statistical matters and has the mandate to review the budget for statistical activities of the government as provided in Executive Order No. 121;

WHEREAS, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has issued National Budget Memorandum No. 50 dated March 12, 1990 directing all agencies to follow certain fiscal guidelines in the preparation of their 1991 budgets which includes a provision that the NSCB shall have been consulted as regards statistical activities and projects;

WHEREAS, the DBM has issued National Budget Memorandum No. 50-d dated March 30, 1990 setting the CY 1991 expenditure ceiling for each of the departments:

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that:

  1. The Board now approve the 1991 budget of the Philippine Statistical System and endorse to the Department of Budget and Management its adoption and incorporation in the total budget of the national government; and

  2. The Department Undersecretaries as members hereof shall ensure the integration of the statistical budget herein recommended within the Department’s approved expenditure ceiling.
