APPROVAL OF THE 1992 SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET FOR THE PHILIPPINE STATISTICAL SYSTEM

WHEREAS, the National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB) is the highest policy-making body on statistical matters and has the mandate to review the budget for statistical activities of the government as provided in Executive Order No. 121;

WHEREAS, the DBM has issued National Budget Memorandum No. 58 dated April 26, 1991 setting the CY 1992 expenditure ceiling for each of the departments;

WHEREAS, a supplemental budget over and above the prescribed agency ceiling is necessary to accomplish on-going statistical activities efficiently and undertake developmental activities towards improving the reliability of data and responsiveness of the Philippine Statistical System;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Board approve the 1992 supplemental budget for the Philippine Statistical System in the amount of P320,027,000 and endorse to the Department of Budget and Management its adoption and incorporation in the total budget of the national government.

Approved thru a referendum this 23rd day of May 1991.
