GUIDELINES AND CRITERIA IN THE ALLOCATION OF THE NSCB GRANTS-IN-AID (GIA) FOR CY 1993

WHEREAS, the National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB) continues to provide technical and financial assistance to agencies in the implementation of statistical development projects per NSCB Resolution No. 1 (s. 1988);

WHEREAS, the NSCB budget for CY 1993 under the Grants-In-Aid (GIA) Program for the implementation of statistical development projects has been reduced to P1,000,000 (tentative allocation) compared to P3,000,000 in previous years;

WHEREAS, there is a need to revise the criteria and guidelines for the evaluation and prioritization of project proposals in accordance with the development goals of the government;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Board approve the new set of criteria and guidelines for GIA prioritization and evaluation for CY 1993;

BE IT RESOLVED FURTHER, that the NSCB Technical Staff be authorized to select the priority projects based on the approved criteria; and that the NSCB Technical Staff be likewise directed to inform the Board of these projects.
