LIST OF DESIGNATED STATISTICS SERIES OF 1994

WHEREAS, under Executive Order No. 121, the National Statistical Coordination Board, is mandated among others to designate statistics that should be collected, compiled, processed and disseminated;

WHEREAS, to implement the above function, the NSCB issued Memorandum Circular No. 01-94 establishing the system of designated statistics;

WHEREAS, based on the criteria and guidelines for designation contained in the Memorandum Circular, the NSCB Technical Staff has evaluated the existing regular statistical activities in the government and recommended an initial list of designated statistics;

WHEREAS, the initial list recommended by the NSCB Technical Staff was reviewed by data producing agencies;

WHEREAS, based on the comments/suggestions of the agencies, the NSCB Technical Staff made a reevaluation and came up with its final recommendations for approval of the NSCB Board;

WHEREAS, one of the recommendations of the NSCB Technical Staff is a draft Executive Order on the designated statistics and said draft already incorporates the comments/suggestions made by the statistical agencies and the Department of Budget and Management;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Board approve the attached list of designated statistics and endorse the attached draft Executive Order to the President.
