NSCB Resolution No. 10
Series of 2005

WHEREAS, the National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB) was created by virtue of Executive Order No. 121 as the highest policy-making and coordinating body on statistical matters;

WHEREAS, the NSCB has been formulating statistical policies that address various issues concerning different sectors, and which are approved in the form of resolutions during Executive Board meetings;

WHEREAS, a core group of resource persons who will be allowed to participate in the deliberations during Board meetings was created and reconstituted thru NSCB Resolution Nos. 12, s. 1988, and 3, s. 1990, respectively, with the following as members:

Deputy Director General, National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA)
Assistant Secretary General, NSCB
Deputy Administrator, National Statistics Office (NSO)
Director, Department of Budget and Management (DBM)
Director, Bureau of Agricultural Statistics (BAS)
Director, Bureau of Labor and Employment Statistics (BLES)
Director, NEDA
Director, Statistical Programs and Resource Management Office, NSCB;
Director, Economic and Social Statistics Office, NSCB

WHEREAS, the core group of resource persons has been holding regular meetings prior to that of the Executive Board to thresh out sector-specific concerns thus minimizing the issues to be raised during Board meetings and leading to their speedy resolution;

WHEREAS, notwithstanding the extensive and valuable contribution provided by the existing core group to the Executive Board, the need to reinforce it in order for it to more effectively serve the requirements of the Board was raised by and among its members in its 18 January 2005 meeting;

WHEREAS, as among the major statistical agencies, and acknowledging the valuable inputs to be derived from their active participation during meetings of the core group, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and the Statistical Research and Training Center (SRTC) were recommended by the existing core group of resource persons as additional members;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the core group of resource persons be reinforced further with the addition of a representative each from the BSP and the SRTC who are acknowledged experts in the field of statistics and in other related fields as well to be designated by the Board members from these concerned agencies.
