ADOPTION OF A GSSID TIMETABLE OF COMPLIANCE

WHEREAS, the NSCB Executive Board issued Resolution No. 8 series of 1999 providing for the adoption of the General Standards on Statistical Information Dissemination (GSSID);

WHEREAS, there is a need to establish a timetable of compliance with the GSSID;

WHEREAS, the agencies have been requested to submit to the NSCB their plan of action in the form prescribed by the NSCB as provided for in said Resolution;

WHEREAS, based on the agency submissions, the NSCB Technical Staff determined the timetable for designated and non-designated statistics;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that:

1) the Board approve the adoption of the attached Timetable of Compliance with the GSSID;

2) the producers of statistical information in the country be enjoined to adopt said timetable;

3) the NSCB Technical Staff be responsible for monitoring compliance of agencies to the said timetable; and

4) the NSCB provide technical assistance by conducting a series of fora to advocate implementation of the GSSID in accordance with the approved Timetable.
