ADVANCE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE SCHEDULE OF RELEASES
OF THE NATIONAL AND REGIONAL ACCOUNTS

WHEREAS, it is the mission of the National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB) to promote and maintain an efficient government statistical system that provides adequate, accessible, consistent, reliable and timely data;

WHEREAS, the NSCB is mandated to develop and maintain systems of economic accounts that provide measures as well as interrelationships of the various sectors of the economy such as the Gross Domestic Product and Gross Regional Domestic Product;

WHEREAS, to keep attuned to emerging demand of data users, Executive Order No. 352 was issued to designate statistical activities that will generate critical data for decision-making of the government and the private sector;

WHEREAS, EO 352 stipulates that the quarterly national accounts be released 60 days after the reference period, the advance annual national accounts estimates 30 days after the reference year, and the annual regional accounts six months after the reference year;

WHEREAS, the national accounts estimates are critical information for economic analysis and policy formulation both at the public and private sectors;

WHEREAS, the advance announcement of the release of the accounts will enhance the credibility of the estimates;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Board approve that the schedules of releases of the Philippine System of National Accounts be announced at the start of each year.
