The 20th Student-Faculty Conference on Statistical Sciences (SFCon), hosted by the University of the Philippines Los Baños Institute of Statistics (UPLB INSTAT), joins the 14th National Convention on Statistics (NCS). The one-day conference will be held on the first day of the 14th NCS on 01 October 2019, 1:30 PM – 5:30 PM, at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria in Ortigas Ave. cor. Asian Development Bank Ave., Quezon City.

Jointly organized by the UPLB INSTAT, University of the Philippines School of Statistics (UPSS), and the Philippine Statistical Research and Training Institute (PSRTI), the 20th SFCon will be participated by about 200 faculty and students nationwide.

Moreover, the 20th SFCon will feature 24 paper presentations from UPSS, UP Cebu, UP Manila, Central Luzon State University, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, De La Salle University, Asian Institute of Management and UPLB INSTAT.

For this year, the SFCon will have for its theme “Innovations in Data Analytics using Diverse Data Sources,” which focuses on the use of non-traditional data sources and methods to provide alternative ways or complement traditional methods of producing relevant statistics.
