Central Luzon posted the fastest per capita household spending in 2017, which grew by 6.0 percent. It was followed by Davao Region and Western Visayas which recorded 5.4 percent and 5.3 percent, respectively.

Four regions recorded accelerated growths in their per capita household spending in 2017. These regions were MIMAROPA, 5.1 percent; Cagayan Valley, 4.2 percent; Caraga, 3.1 percent; and Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao, 0.2 percent.

The remaining regions exhibited decelerated growths: Central Luzon, 6.0 percent; Davao Region, 5.4 percent; Western Visayas, 5.3 percent; CALABARZON, 4.8 percent; Eastern Visayas, 4.2 percent; Ilocos Region, 4.1 percent; Bicol Region, 4.1 percent; Central Visayas, 4.0 percent; National Capital Region, 3.5 percent; SOCCSKSARGEN, 3.3 percent; Zamboanga Peninsula, 2.9 percent; Cordillera Administrative Region, 2.7 percent; and Northern Mindanao, 2.7 percent.

NCR remained the highest spending region on household consumer goods and services at Php 1,373.7 billion. Trailing behind were CALABARZON and Central Luzon at Php 976.0 billion and Php 758.7 billion, respectively.
