The Commission on Higher Education (CHED), thru a memorandum from Chairperson J. Prospero E. De Vera III dated 25 June 2019 (Annex A), enjoins all CHED central and regional office directors and presidents/heads of public and private higher education institutions (HEIs) to participate in the celebration of the 30th National Statistics Month (NSM) in October 2019 and conduct of the 14th National Convention on Statistics (NCS) on 01-03 October 2019.

The 14th NCS will serve as a kick-off activity for the 30th NSM celebration which will be held on 01-03 October 2019 at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria in Ortigas Ave. cor. Asian Development Bank Ave., Quezon City.

The NCS is a  triennial activity of the PSS which aims to: 1) provide a forum for exchanging ideas and experiences in the field of statistics and for discussing recent statistical developments and prevailing issues and problems of the PSS; and 2) elicit the cooperation and support of statisticians and professionals in related fields from the government, academe and private sector towards a more responsive statistical system. The NCS will feature plenary sessions, invited/contributed paper sessions, panel discussions, statistics trainings as well as the Statistical Information Management Exhibit.
