CBMS Winner

 

28 December 2020 – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), as the lead implementing agency of the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS), concluded its CBMS Jingle, Logo and Tagline-Making Contests through the Announcement of Winners last 28 December 2020.

In total, PSA received 256 entries for the said contests between 26 October to 11 December 2020, with the following breakdown: 22 entries for the jingle, 156 for the logo and 78 for the tagline. The final judging of the best entries was conducted from 17 to 26 December 2020.

The winners of the Jingle, Logo, and Tagline – Making Contests each received Plaques of Recognition, and cash prize of PhP 50,000.00,  PhP 20,000.00, and PhP 10,000.00, respectively. The five (5) runners-up for each contest received Certificates of Recognition, and cash prize of PhP 5,000.00, PhP 2,000.00 and PhP 1,000.00, respectively.

The CBMS Jingle, Logo and Tagline-Making Contests were conducted, as part of the celebration of the 31st National Statistics Month to promote awareness and appreciation of the importance of the CBMS among stakeholders and the public in general. The winning entries will be used as basis in the development of music and materials for the CBMS advocacy campaign. The PSA is encouraging wider cooperation and support from government and private sectors, and maximum participation from the public, most especially in the conduct of its pilot run in 2021 in selected cities/municipalities and its national rollout in 2022.

The Board of Judges of the contests was headed by Officer-in-Charge Deputy National Statistician Minerva Eloisa P. Esquivias of the Censuses and Technical Coordination Office. Other distinguished members of the Board of Judges were the Vice-President of the Philippine Statistical Association, Inc. and former National Statistics Office Administrator Carmelita N. Ericta, Director Maria Teresa M. Garcia of the Department of Information and Communications Technology, Director Anna Liza F. Bonagua of the Department of the Interior and Local Government, Regional Director (RD) Wilma A. Perante of PSA-Regional Statistical Services Office VIII, RD Ruben D. Abaro Jr. of PSA-RSSO X, and Interim Assistant National Statistician of the Community-Based Statistics Service (CBSS), Plenee Grace J. Castillo.
