Annual rate of CMRPI in NCR remained at 1.0 percent in June 2024

The annual rate of CMRPI in NCR continued to increase steadily as it retained its previous month’s year-on-year growth rate of 1.0 percent. In June 2023, the annual increment of CMRPI was recorded at 1.9 percent. (Figure 1, and Tables A, 2, and 4)

Higher annual increases during the month were noted in the indices of electrical materials at 1.4 percent from 0.9 percent, and miscellaneous construction materials at 2.1 percent from 0.8 percent in May 2024.

Moreover, slower annual decline was observed in the index of masonry materials at 0.2 percent annual drop during the month from 0.3 percent annual decrease in May 2024.

On the other hand, slower annual increases were noted in the indices of the following commodity groups in June 2024:

a. Carpentry materials, 0.2 percent from 0.4 percent;
b. Painting materials and related compounds, 1.4 percent from 1.6 percent;
c. Plumbing materials, 0.2 percent from 0.3 percent; and
d. Tinsmithry materials, 1.2 percent from 2.2 percent. (Table 2)
