The Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP) headed by Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer, Undersecretary Alvin Feliciano awarded the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) with a Plaque of Recognition from the Office of the President for its commendable partnership and valuable support on the conduct of various programs and services of the Commission, for Calendar Year 2019 to 2021, which are beneficial and responsive to the needs of all urban poor communities throughout the country.

In line with PSA’s mission to deliver relevant civil registration services towards the improvement of quality of life for all, the PSA has been supporting the conduct of mobile caravans of the PCUP since April 2019, and has participated in a total of 37 mobile caravans. PSA Regional and Provincial Offices in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, including the National Capital Region (NCR), have been conducting consultations and information dissemination activities on the agency’s programs and services, as well as the acceptance of requests for copy issuance of civil registration documents and certifications.

At the NCR, the PSA-Civil Registration Service sent its mobile teams to ten identified urban poor communities and extended assistance in providing copies of birth, marriage, and death documents including the issuance of Certificate of No Marriage Record or Advisory on Marriage.

The mobile teams attended inquiries on matters concerning civil registration, and almost a thousand constituents of Barangay Tinajeros, Malabon City; Barangay 201, Pasay City; Barangay 178, Camarin, Caloocan City; Navotas City; Barangays Pilot, Commonwealth and Bagbag in Quezon City; Addition Hills, Mandaluyong City; Barangay Aguho, Pateros; Pasay City; and Manggahan, Pasig City benefited from the activity.
