The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) announces the appointment of Dr. CLAIRE DENNIS S. MAPA as the new National Statistician and Civil Registrar General effective 27 May 2019.

Prior to his appointment, Dr. Mapa was a Professor and Dean at the School of Statistics, University of the Philippines (UP). He finished his B.S. in Statistics and completed two Master’s degrees: in Economics and in Statistics and his Ph.D. in Economics, all from UP.
