The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) clears the conduct of the 2022 Quarterly Survey of Philippine Business and Industry (QSPBI).
The survey provides quarterly data for each of the identified leading industry major groups in all sectors of the economy, except those in agriculture, forestry and fishing sector.
The QSPBI collects data on the following:
a. employment;
b. compensation;
c. value of production (for mining and quarrying and manufacturing sectors only);
d. total revenue;
e. total inventory of goods; and
f. capacity utilization.
With a total of budget of PhP 16.52 million, about 6,000 establishments nationwide will be selected to answer the survey. The following are the schedule of distribution and collection of questionnaires:

Results of the survey will provide inputs for the compilation of the Quarterly National Accounts (QNA) and in the construction of Quarterly Economic Indicators (QEI) and for the monetary policy review of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
The 2022 QSPBI was reviewed and cleared for conduct under the Statistical Survey Review and Clearance System (SSRCS), a mechanism being implemented by the PSA by virtue of Rule 28 of Implementing Rules and Regulations of Republic Act No. 10625 to:
a. ensure sound design for data collection;
b. minimize the burden placed upon respondents;
c. effect economy in statistical data collection;
d. eliminate unnecessary duplication of statistical data collection efforts; and
e. achieve better coordination of government statistical activities.
In line with this, the PSA enjoins all the establishments to support the QSPBI by providing the required information to authorized PSA interviewers who will visit the establishment to distribute and collect the questionnaire. If face to face collection is not possible, questionnaires can be submitted online through the QSPBI webpage: https://qspbi.psa.gov.ph.
