In the photos during the Step 2 registration to the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys), the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) wishes to clarify that President Rodrigo Roa Duterte was holding a sample PhilID. All information found in sample PhilID were intentionally fabricated for data privacy and security purposes.

The President underwent registration for PhilSys to encourage Filipinos to do the same, once registration is available in their area.

Due announcements will be made by the PSA for the registration of the general public this year, as low-income households have been prioritized since the beginning of PhilSys registration last year.
