- CPI of Food, Beverages and Tobacco (FBT): National Capital Region (NCR) and Areas Outside the National Capital Region (AONCR)
The seasonally adjusted CPI of FBT in NCR slightly went up to 149.3 in December from 149.2 in November. Likewise, the seasonally adjusted CPI of FBT in AONCR increased to 154.4 in December from 154.1 last month.
Prices of FBT for NCR were slightly pushed up by the seasonal factors in December while that for AONCR, prices were pushed down by the seasonal factors.
On a monthly basis, prices of seasonally adjusted FBT items in NCR and AONCR correspondingly moved up to 0.1 percent and 0.2 percent in December from their respective November rates of -0.1 percent and 0.1 percent.
- CPI of Non-FBT Items: National Capital Region (NCR) and Areas Outside the National Capital Region (AONCR)
The seasonally adjusted CPI of non-FBT items in NCR and AONCR in December picked up to 179.7 and 176.7, respectively from their corresponding November levels of 178.3 and 176.6. Prices of non-FBT items in NCR and AONCR were pushed down by the seasonal factors during the month.
The month-on-month inflation of the seasonally adjusted CPI for non-FBT items in NCR was up to 0.8 percent in December from 0.7 percent in November while that for AONCR, prices of non-FBT items remained at its November rate of 0.1 percent.
