Update on the Press Release entitled "PSA Approves the Conduct of the Metalworking Industry Survey – A Focus on Advanced Welding" which appeared on the PSA Website on 24 April 2020

Based on the earlier press release issued on 24 April 2020 with reference number 2020-70 under the PSA’s Statistical Survey Review and Clearance System (SSRCS), the conduct of the Metalworking Industry Survey – A Focus on Advanced Welding is scheduled from 01 June to 30 September 2020.

However, due to the prolonged public health emergency caused by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) disease which brought serious challenges to the entire nation, including safety and health risks affecting the productivity and profitability of the local metals, engineering industries, the Department of Science and Technology – Metals Industry Research and Development Center (DOST-MIRDC) decided to postpone the conduct of the abovementioned survey to January 2021.

In view of these developments, the public is hereby informed about the change in the schedule of the implementation of the survey on the metalworking industry.
