GRPI in NCR increases further in February 2021

The year-on-year change of GRPI in NCR picked up by 1.4 percent in February 2021. In the previous month, its annual rate was registered at 1.3 percent and in the same month of the previous year, 1.5 percent. (Tables A and 2)

The index of machinery and transport equipment inched up by 0.05 percent, from its previous month’s annual growth of zero percent.

Moreover, the annual decrease in the index of mineral fuels, lubricants and related materials during the month was posted at -0.7 percent, from an annual drop of -6.0 percent in the previous month.

Except for beverages and tobacco which retained its previous month annual rate of 6.5 percent, the indices of the rest of the commodity groups exhibited slower annual increments during the month. (Table 2)
