Bukidnon Registered the Highest Gain in the Value of Production in Agriculture and Fisheries at 2.0 Percent in 2020 (At Constant 2018 Prices)

In all the provinces in Northern Mindanao, Bukidnon registered the highest gain in the value of production in agriculture and fisheries at constant 2018 prices at 2.0 percent in 2020. In contrast, decreases were noted in Camiguin at -3.1 percent, Misamis Oriental at -2.8 percent, Lanao del Norte at -0.9 percent, and Misamis Occidental at -0.4 percent.(Figure 1)

The highest contribution to the total value of production in agriculture and fisheries at constant 2018 prices was noted in Bukidnon at 55.5 percent. The province also topped in crops with 65.0 percent share, livestock with 58.0 percent share, and poultry with 45.3 percent share. In the case of fisheries, Lanao del Norte had the biggest share, contributing 69.5 percent to the region’s total value of fisheries production in 2020. (Tables 10, 10.1, 10.2, 10.3 and 10.4)

At current prices, Bukidnon was the leading province in the value of production in agriculture and fisheries amounted to PhP 104.44 billion. The respective value of production in the other provinces in Northern Mindanao were as follows: Lanao del Norte with PhP 30.94 billion, Misamis Oriental with PhP 28.25 billion, Misamis Occidental with PhP 16.84 billion, and Camiguin with PhP 1.63 billion.(Table 11)
