1. Increments in the average retail prices of a kilogram of regular milled rice, ranging from PhP 0.25 to PhP 1.07, were observed in seven regional centers during the first phase of August 2021 (01 to 05 August 2021), from their price levels in the second phase of July 2021 (15 to 17 July 2021). Its average retail price per kilogram, however, went down by PhP 0.30 in Butuan City and by PhP 0.31 in Kidapawan City during the period. (Table 1)
2. Relative to their price levels in the second phase of July 2021, the average retail prices of a kilogram of pork with bones decreased by PhP 5.42 to PhP 37.50 in five regional centers during the first phase of August 2021. Meanwhile, its average retail price per kilogram picked up by PhP 5.00 to PhP 36.00 in four regional centers during the first phase of August 2021. (Table 2)
3. Increases in the average retail prices of a kilogram of bangus between the first phase of August 2021 and the second phase of July 2021, ranging from PhP 1.33 to PhP 54.00, were seen in nine regional centers. On the contrary, its average retail price per kilogram dropped by PhP 9.47 in Kidapawan City and by PhP 10.00 in Cabanatuan City during the period. (Table 3)
4. At the retail trade, vegetables were priced higher in many regional centers during the first phase of August 2021. (Table 4)
5. Movements in the average retail prices of a kilogram of red onion, ranging from PhP 1.11 to PhP 20.00, were registered in eight regional centers during the period, from their price levels in the second phase of July 2021. (Table 5)
6. Prices of a kilogram of carabao mango picked up from PhP 1.46 to PhP 35.00, in six regional centers during the first phase of August 2021, from their price levels in the second phase of July 2021. On the other hand, its average retail price per kilogram was lower by PhP 30.00 in San Fernando City (Region 1) during the period. (Table 6)
7. The average retail prices of a kilogram of brown sugar declined by PhP 1.02 in Legazpi City and by PhP 3.89 in Calapan City during the first phase of August 2021. Its average retail price, however, rose by PhP 1.24 in Iloilo City. (Table 7)
